DISTRICT 8 TRAINING WEEKEND: Tappahannock VRS and Tappahannock-Essex VFD are hosting the First Annual District 8 Super Training Weekend in Esses County, VA on March 17 & 18, 2012
Tappahannock Vol. Rescue Squad and Tappahannock-Essex Vol. Fire
Department are pleased to annoucne their hosting of the first annual
District 8 Super Training weekend in Essex County, Virginia. This has
been a highly discussed weekend for the past six months, and it is with
great honor that the two departments make the formal announcement of the
event.
With any event of large porpotion, attendance is a vital key to success.
Not only are we keeping our fingers crossed for attendance from this
district, but from those reaching the far corners of the state. Attached
in the course flyer, there are programs that are applicable to any
rescue squad/fire department member ranging from begginer to the
advanced level. The array of training includes both classes in the
EMS/Technical Rescue realm, but as well for the fire service arena.
With this announcement, we ask that you pass this on to the rescue
squads/fire departments in your respected district. Training is becoming
harder and harder to locate, especially in a society where most hold
jobs that require them to work during the week, thus leaving little time
to train. It is with this thought in mind that we made the decision to
hold the event in March, which is historically slower for most as the
transition of seasons is in progress.
If any questions arise, please feel free to contact me at this email
address, or by phone at 804-313-7562.
We hope to see you in March!!!
Respecfully yours,
R. Blake Byrd
